Jon has been a licensed insurance agent in Kansas since January 17th, 1984. For many years he was a captive insurance agent with the Kansas Farm Bureau Insurance Company and Farmers Insurance. After becoming aggravated with the limitations imposed on captive insurance agents, Jon started an Independent Insurance Agency, Kansas Insurance Solutions Specialists on August 1, 2018.
The Independent Agency allows for a wider selection of options when it comes to protecting the customers and their assets. Their number one goal is to treat others as they would like to be treated, fairly, honestly and with integrity.
Jon and his wife, Deanna are both Veterans of the United States Navy. After completing their commitments to the military, they both decided to return to Jon’s hometown of Hutchinson. While in the Navy, Jon always told people he was from God’s Country, Kansas, because of the people. There is nothing better than the people in the Midwest.
Jon and Deanna live on the outskirts of Hutchinson where they have raised twelve four-legged children (dogs). Several of them being rescued dogs.
For many years Jon and Deanna have shared a passion being involved in voluntary work with the Hutchinson Zoo and Reins of Hope Therapeutic Riding, note both involve animals, they love animals of all kinds.
